ORILLIA – The Orillia Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) in partnership with the Orillia Police Services Board is inviting residents and business owners of the City of Orillia to come out to a Community Mobilization Forum on Fraud Prevention.

The Community Mobilization Forum will be an opportunity to learn more about Senior’s Fraud, Internet Scams, Elder Abuse Prevention and Business Fraud including counterfeit currency.

Presenters from the OPP, Canadian Antifraud Centre, Bank of Canada, Prevention of Senior Abuse Network (PSAN) and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) will be in attendance. 

The forum will take place on Thursday, March 31, 2016 from 12 p.m. until 4 p.m. at the Orillia City Centre, Council Chamber, 50 Andrew Street South, Orillia.

Look for the posters which have been distributed throughout the city and come out and help mobilize your community against fraud. 

Coffee and sandwiches will be provided.

Senior’s Fraud, presented by OPP, at 12 p.m.
Internet Scams, presented by Canadian Antifraud Centre, at 1 p.m.
Elder Abuse Prevention, presented by Prevention of Senior Abuse Network, at 2 p.m.
Counterfeit Currency, presented by Bank of Canada, at 3 p.m.
