Stunt driver charged
NEW TECUMSETH, ON. - On December 23, 2015 at 5:41 p.m., an officer from the Nottawasaga Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was conducting stationary radar enforcement in the area of County Road 56 and the 30th side road, Township of Essa.
The officer observed a northbound motor vehicle travelling at an extremely high rate of speed.
The officer determined that the motor vehicle was travelling 140 km/h in a posted 80 km/h zone.
The driver was stopped and as a result of the investigation, a 34 year-old male from Angus, ON was eventually charged with Stunt Driving.
His licence was immediately suspended for seven days and his motor vehicle was impounded.
