ORILLIA – The Orillia Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged two males with racing in the City of Orillia.
On October 19, 2015 at approximately 7:16 p.m., Orillia OPP officers were on patrol when they observed two vehicles driving aggressively on Highway 12 near Wainman Line.
Officers turned and attempted to catch up to the vehicles while they were heading eastbound on Highway 12.
A traffic stop was made as the vehicles exited Highway 11 at Old Barrie Road.
The two 19-year-old males have been charged with racing under the Highway Traffic Act.
Both drivers received an automatic 7 day licence suspension and their vehicles were impounded.
