South Simcoe Police received a call to attend to the parking lot of a local establishment in Alcona at 1:30 a.m.

It was reported that three males were damaging a taxi.

Police attended and observed two individuals that fit the description of the males in the altercation. Police spoke to the males who advised they had almost been run over by the cab driver and one of their friends who left the scene retaliated and damaged the taxi cab.

Witnesses on scene told a completely different story advising that the two males in question also contributed to the damage.

Police arrested both males who reside in Innisfil. Charges of Mischief and Weapons Dangerous were laid.

Both the front and rear windows of the cab were damaged using construction tools.

No one was hurt in the altercation. Both males were released with conditions and have a court date in May.

The investigation is continuing. Police are looking for the third suspect.
