Thanksgiving weekend all about apples, eating (14 photos)

Red, yellow, and orange leaves decorate Blue Mountain as the backdrop for the annual Apple Harvest Festival

Thanksgiving weekend brings the annual apple harvest festival to The Blue Mountains, with family-friendly activities all centred around fall, food, and fun.

Today (Oct. 14) the activities continue at Blue Mountain Village with apple scavenger hunts all day, a John Deere Kids Zone at the lift plaza, live music by Chantal Preston from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. and an interactive art station with Kelly Gale from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Enjoy these photos from Sunday's Apple Harvest celebrations, including an apple pie-eating contest.
