BarrieToday received the following notice from the City of Barrie regarding swim advisories at two local beaches:
Based on water sample results from Aug. 9, 2021, the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit (SMDHU) has recommended that a swim advisory be posted for Minet’s Point Beach and Centennial Park Beach.
Staff are currently posting advisory signage and will be re-sampling the beaches today. A status update will be provided once a decision is made by the SMDHU.
