This year’s Forest Hill Public School Holiday Food Drive Challenge was a resounding success.

A grand total of 150, 700 toys and food items were collected by the 17 participating Simcoe County District School Board (SCDSB) schools.

“I continue to be amazed by what our school communities are able to achieve when they come together to make a difference for the lives of others,” says Megan McColm, Forest Hill teacher and organizer of the school’s Global Action Team. “Thank you to each student, parent, staff member and the community who collected, packed and delivered the items—it was another successful year!”

For the ninth year, Forest Hill PS’s Global Action Team sent out a friendly challenge to other schools to collect toys and other items for the local food bank.

The ‘winner’ is based on the most number of items collected on a per student basis.

See the top 5 schools and all participating schools below.

The SCDSB would also like to acknowledge all of the other schools across the county that participated in food and toy drives to support families in need in their communities.
