On Sunday, December 13, 2015 at 3:37 a.m. Police were called to attend the Travelodge at 300 Bayfield Street, in the City of Barrie, in regards to a stabbing.
The 20-year-old male victim, not a Barrie resident, was taken to Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre and transported to a Toronto Hospital in critical, but stable condition.
Detectives from Barrie Police Investigative Services remain on scene interviewing witnesses and gathering evidence.
At this time it is unconfirmed that the stabbing occurred at the Travelodge.
