NEWS RELEASE
TOWNSHIP OF SPRINGWATER
*************************
The Township of Springwater is excited to launch its new CivicWeb Portal, providing residents with improved access to public meeting information including agendas, minutes and records.

In an effort to increase openness and transparency, the township has been actively working with Canadian technology leader iCompass Technologies to implement the new portal.

Through its user-friendly interface, residents will be able to easily and efficiently find information related to all township council and committee meetings.

The technology includes a sensitive search function which can find specific references and keywords included in any of the documents uploaded to the system.

Additional features will allow users to:

  • View upcoming and past meetings with the agendas and minutes.
  • Subscribe to receive email updates and agenda notifications for specific meetings.
  • Find contact information for council and committee members.
  • Review weekly council information packages.
  • Find information on the 2022 municipal election (coming soon).

“The township is dedicated to providing current information on the proceedings of council and enabling our citizens to be informed,” says township clerk Renée Ainsworth. “The portal will help us increase accountability and encourage public involvement by improving the flow of information to and from the municipality.”

The CivicWeb Portal is now live and can be accessed from the township’s website at www.springwater.ca or visited directly at springwater.civicweb.net/Portal.

To learn more about the new system, please consult the township’s CivicWeb Portal tip sheet, available online at springwater.ca/PublicMeetingInformation.
