Southshore Centre gets a new lid

Crews are using a plastic-type material which mimics cedar shake

The Southshore Centre along the Barrie lakeshore is getting all new shingles.

The company, which has been on site for about three weeks, is using the Canadian-made Enviroshake shingle, which uses a plastic-type material and mimics a cedar appearance.

Crews expect to remain on scene into next week.
