For over 50 years, South Simcoe Theatre has been delivering great community theatre and they’re launching their 2018-19 season with Ken Ludwig’s Lend Me A Tenor opening Nov. 8, 2018.

Since 2014’s very well-received production of Ken Ludwig’s The Fox On The Fairway, South Simcoe Theatre is staging another blisteringly fast-paced farce starring local actors that have been part of Simcoe County’s live entertainment scene for years.

This hilarious romp of mistaken identities, young love and constantly swinging doors opens Nov 8 and runs until Nov. 25 at the Old Town Hall, located at 1 Hamilton St., Cookstown.

Lend Me A Tenor features SST alumni Tom Mercer, Nancy Smokler, Cathy McCauley and Stephen Dobby with Marissa Caldwell, Eduardo Guevara and Laken Vanderee who are newer additions to the Old Town Hall stage.

This is South Simcoe Theatre’s third production directed by Richard Varty, who helmed their 51st season’s production of Little Shop of Horrors with Musical Director Mel Hinch who is producing this season.

Tickets are $20 and can be ordered from the SST box office at 1 705 458 4432.
