A 21-year-old Barrie man was rushed to hospital following a single vehicle crash on Sunnidale Road just outside of Barrie.
Huronia West OPP says vehicle collided with a hydro pole on Sunnidale Road just east of Ferndale Road in Springwater Township.
Police don't yet know why the crash occurred.
The driver suffered serious injuries.
He was taken to a Barrie hospital and then transported to a hospital in Toronto.
His name has not been released.
Police have a section of Sunnidale Road closed between Ferndale Drive North and Livingstone Street West for the investigation.
