A section of Bayview Drive in Barrie's south end will be closed for one week starting April 8.
Leading Edge Earthworks and its sub-contractors will be implementing a full road closure on Bayview Drive between Big Bay Point Road and Mollard Court from April 8 until April 12.
The work site is located approximately 200 metres north of Big Bay Point Road.
The city says the closure is associated with the installation of a new water main for the development of a general industrial subdivision.
Access for businesses within the closure is to be maintained, and emergency services will have access to respond within the closure but not to travel through it.
Detour routes in effect:
Bayview Drive – Big Bay Point Road – Fairview Road – Little Avenue – Bayview Drive
Bayview Drive – Big Bay Point Road – Huronia Road – Little Avenue – Bayview Drive
The city says access to 323, 333 and 342 Bayview Dr. will be accessible via Big Bay Point Road. For all other properties affected by the closure, access will be from Little Avenue.
