Local barbecue lovers will not be denied their ribs and pulled pork this summer. Three crowd-pleasing rib teams have partnered with McCowan and Associates Ltd. to host a Drive-Thru Ribfest in the parking lot located at 521 Bayfield St. (the former Sears) on the north side of the Georgian Mall in support of patient care at Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre (RVH).

Camp 31 Barbeque, Sticky Fingers BBQ, and Billy Bones’ BBQ will be set up in a drive-thru format, following all current public health safety guidelines, in the parking lot beside the Georgian Mall and serving up award-winning BBQ ribs, mouth-watering beef brisket and pulled pork all in an effort of raising money for a good cause.

For a $3 charitable entry fee, patrons will be able to drive their vehicle safely through clearly sectioned lanes and purchase their tasty meals from their ‘ribber’ of choice. All entry fees collected will help support patient care at RVH.

“We’re grateful to all the rib teams, to McCowan and Associates Ltd. for providing the venue, and everyone who comes out to support RVH,” says RVH Foundation CEO, Pamela Ross. “This unique drive-thru experience will once again provide an opportunity for families to try delicious BBQ, while also helping to ensure RVH can continue to be there in the moments that matter most.”

The Ribfest Drive-Thru will run Friday, Aug. 13, Saturday, Aug. 14 and Sunday, Aug. 15 from 11 a.m. until 8 p.m.
