Barrie Police officers conducted a high-risk takedown outside 10 Golfdale Road around 4 p.m. Monday after a witness reported seeing a gun.

The incident started with three men fighting in a vehicle but police say when they arrived there were only two men in the vehicle.

"As one party got out of the vehicle a gun dropped to the ground," said Barrie Police Staff Sgt. Mike Winn. "There was a high-risk takedown and numerous police cruisers did attend."

Two men were taken into custody.

One of the trio from the call had minor facial injuries and was taken to Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre.

"An Airsoft gun was recovered," said Staff Sgt. Winn. "The Criminal Investigations Division is investigating. One man is facing weapons dangerous charge but witnesses are still being interviewed."
