Local residents will get an inside look into the mindset of area health leaders later this month.

The popular Our Health series welcomes four hospital CEOs for its Feb. 17 installment entitled Our Hospitals, Our Health.

Moderated by retired family physician Keith Rose, the 7:30 p.m. discussion features Waypoint Centre for Mental Health Care CEO Carol Lambie, Georgian Bay General Hospital CEO Gail Hunt, Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre CEO Janice Skot, and Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital CEO Carmine Stumpo.

Panellists are expected to delve into how the pandemic has affected their hospitals along with how the region can best move forward in this new world.

“The panellists will unpack challenges related to COVID-19, explore steps toward recovery and discuss the possibilities for post-pandemic health care,” a statement regarding the event says.

Following the discussion, there will be a question-and-answer session with members of the public invited to forward their questions to [email protected].

This program will be aired live on all Simcoe County Rogers TV stations and available online for streaming.

However, due to health and safety concerns there will not be an audience at the Midland Cultural Centre for this event.

Besides Rose, Our Health advisory members are Larry Arnold, Sandra Boucher, Ted Chivers, Kathy Wolfer and Holly Archer, who organized the upcoming program.
