YOUTH HAVEN BARRIE

Associates from Keller Williams Experience Realty and The Peggy Hill Team recently marked their annual day of service called “Red Day” by giving back to Youth Haven Barrie.

The day stands for Renew, Energize and Donate.

The associates spent the day at the shelter re-painting the laundry room, bathroom, hallways, kitchen doors and bed frames, replaced lights in the main floor halls with LED lights, and installed and planted four vegetable garden boxes.

The associates also pitched in to donate much needed supplies such as bedding, futons, harvest tables, Tim Hortons gift cards, bus passes and new bins where residents can place their belongings.

Since 1987, Youth Haven Barrie has provided homeless and abused youth between the ages of 16 and 21 with the love, support and life skills needed in order to foster our youths sense of well-being and security.

Youth Haven Barrie is the only youth shelter in Simcoe County.
