Just stop! The beautiful parkland along the bay is turning into some garish trailer park or circus entrance. McCann's sign was horrid, but this  painting a big wall glaring pink  hurts the eyes and brain. It is beyond ugly and trashy. In fact, it makes the deterioration of the brick blatantly obvious. Does no one have an iota of civic pride or good taste or are they colour blind? We aren't Miami or Los Angeles and we aren't the tropics. Perhaps a soft blue water colour would be better  or nothing. My eyes! My eyes! — Pat N.

Clean it up, make it bright and attractive, and better lighting, certainly. But why paint a building this hideous and ridiculous colour? An eyesore and an embarrassment to our downtown. — Jayn M.

This huge pink building looks absolutely horrible and does not fit in with the rest of the downtown. It was vintage brick before and could have been transformed into a very cool building. This bright pink is just an eyesore now. It needs to be changed. — Sue M.

Sure hope the art community gets to it fast. Biggest eyesore in the downtown area now. Looked better before. What’s wrong with these men/women. Every one I’ve talk to thinks it looks awful. Give it a break with all this stupidity. — Mike B.

Bank of Montreal may have been an occupant at that site, but I have been under the impression it was called the Wilson Building. Named after a former mayor of Barrie. — Wayne P.
