Simcoe County students could be off school for two days next week as the Elementary Teachers’ Federation of Ontario (ETFO) prepares to ramp up strike action across the province.
The ETFO says it will escalate its rotating strikes across Ontario starting Monday, Feb. 3 unless central agreements are reached with the province by the end of January.
In Simcoe County, a rotating one-day strike is set for Wednesday, Feb. 5, followed by the provincewide strike on Thursday, Feb. 6, which would include all 83,000 ETFO members.
