Update 9:53 a.m.:

Power has been retored to Jean Vanier CHS.

The Collingwood YMCA will reopen at 10 a.m.

Update: 9:27 a.m.

Hydro One has lost 115KV supply to Meaford, according to Collus PowerStream, which says there's no alternate way to back up Thornbury. The estimated restoral time is unknown until Hydro One investigates further. Updates to come.

Collus PowerStream says central Collingwood should have power restored.  Anyone west of Cranberry Inn the power will still be off until noon.

The Collingwood YMCA is closed due to the power outage.

Update 9:20 a.m.

More school closures due to the power outage: Georgian Bay Community School and St. Vincent-Euphrasia Elementary School in Meaford and Bluewater DSB.

Jean Vanier CHS and St. Mary's in Collingwood are currently without power. All students and staff are safe, according to the SMCDSB twitter.

Update: 

Collus PowerStream says power in central Collingwood should be back on by 10 a.m. The west side of town will have power restored by around noon. Crews need to clear trees from lines. 

Power should be back on in Thornbury by about 10 a.m. 

Due to the power outage, Town Hall will be closed until further notice, according to a tweet from the Town of Collingwood.

Collus PowerStream is reporting a power outage on the central and west side of Collingwood,

Collus tweeted that tree limbs on wires on Highway 26 near Cranberry Village in Collingwood caused damage to the main line feeder.

Crews are on site to work on restoration. The exact time the power will be restored is unknown but 'hopefully won't be too long' according to a tweet by the power company.

Hydro One has a broken pole west of Thornbury. Collus crews are working with Hydro One to get an alternative feed.  

The Simcoe County District School Board says Collingwood Collegiate, Admiral Collingwood ES and Cameron Street PS are experiencing power outages this morning.
