Police seek assistance in locating missing teen (update: found)

Police are seeking the public’s assistance in locating a 14-year-old female, Kateline Desjardins, who was last seen by friends at Barrie Central Collegiate School

Barrie Police issued the following statement today - 

"Update: Kateline has been found safe by Peel Regional Police and will be picked up by Barrie Police to be returned home to her father. 

Thank you to everyone for the shares and encouraging words to Kateline when she reached out to us on Facebook."

Police are seeking the public’s assistance in locating a 14-year-old female, Kateline Desjardins, who was last seen by friends at Barrie Central Collegiate School, in the city of Barrie, shortly after 1 p.m. on Monday, January 25, 2016.

Police believe Kateline travelled to the Toronto area yesterday afternoon with some new friends. 

The female’s cell phone is no longer turned on for attempts at contact to be made.

Description:

  • Female, white
  • 5’7”, 165lbs
  • Brown hair straight hair (has been coloured since photographs provided
  • Hazel eyes
  • Black and green rimmed glasses
  • Nose ring in right nostril

Wearing:

  • Thigh length purple and grey dress coat with buttons
  • Ripped blue jeans
  • Brown ankle height boots
