Barrie police are searching for a man who forced his way into a Barrie home.
Police say around 9:15 this morning, a man armed with a knife knocked on the door of a Broadfoot Drive home and then forced his way in.
The homeowners managed to escape to a neighbour's house and call 911.
The suspect fled on foot as police believe he may left the area in an unknown vehicle.
The canine unit and officers searched the area but the suspect was not found.
"Police believe this home was specifically targeted," Barrie Constable Sarah Bamford told BarrieToday.
The suspect is described as a white male, wearing a bandanna over his face, a green cammo jacket and heavy boots.
