Police are looking for a suspect after a Tim Hortons assault on Friday

The Barrie Police Service has received video surveillance and is seeking the public’s assistance to identify a suspect wanted for an assault that occurred in the parking lot of Tim Hortons located at 533 Bayfield Street, in the City of Barrie.

On Friday, Nov. 18, 2016, just before 9 a.m. both the suspect and victim had a brief conversation once outside which led to the suspect grabbing hold of the victim, pulling him across the parking lot towards a black Honda Odyssey minivan and assaulting him.

The victim was assaulted numerous times before fleeing the area to call police.

The suspect left the area in the Honda Odyssey minivan, which had two other male occupants inside. The van was last seen headed northbound on Bayfield Street. The investigation is ongoing.

The suspect is described as;

  • Male, white (32-37 yrs.)
  • Medium build
  • Short blond hair, unshaven
  • Wearing a white baseball hat with sunglasses, blue jacket with orange trim outlining the zipper and pockets, jeans and work boots.

The vehicle is described as;

  • Black Honda Odyssey Minivan
  • Black rims
  • White sticker on back window – right side
  • The vehicle was parked on the north side of Tim Hortons facing vacant building next door.
