On Wednesday, January 13, 2016, just after midnight police came across unoccupied vehicle that had slid into the ditch on Highway 400 southbound at the Mapleview Drive exit.
Police followed the foot prints that led away from the vehicle and located the driver a short distance away.
Further investigation revealed the male was wanted on a 7-day committal warrant, for drive suspended and fail to remain from a previous incident.
The 34-year-old Barrie male was arrested and later transported to Central North Correctional Centre.
