Police find theft suspect in girlfriend's car

On Wednesday, January 13, 2015 police were called to Shoppers Drug Mart located at 165 Wellington Street West in regards to a shoplifter who had left the store with multiple items but was still sitting in his vehicle in the parking lot.

Police attended and located the male in a vehicle that belonged to his girlfriend. 

He was also in possession of a pair of headphones, a bottle of Vichy Aqualia and an electric toothbrush, totaling over $185, which all were stolen from the Shoppers Drug Mart.

Further Police investigation uncovered two driving suspensions in good standing from 2014 and upon speaking to his girlfriend, police became aware he did not have permission to use her vehicle.

He was also on a Probation Order from previous criminal charges.

The 34-year-old Angus man was charged with Take Auto Without Consent, Theft Under $5,000, Fail to Comply with Probation and Drive While Disqualified. 

He was released on a Promise to Appear with a court date Monday, February 29, 2016 to answer to his charges.
