NEWS RELEASE
ONTARIO PROVINCIAL POLICE
*************************
ORILLIA - On Dec. 15, 2016 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. the Orillia detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police and Seniors and Law Enforcement Together (SALT) will be providing information on and answering questions relating to fraud. The booth will be at the Orillia Square mall located at 289 Brodie Dr. in Orillia.

Fraud can happen anywhere weather it is on the internet through email, text, social media, on the phone or even with family members.

If you or someone you know would like to stop by and ask a question or pick up some information on fraud and how to prevent it or what to do if you have been victimized please feel free to do so.

Seniors tend to be victimized by fraudsters more than any other demographic. The OPP and SALT want to raise awareness and prevent frauds from happening by giving people the resources and tools they need to make informed decisions.

The OPP and SALT also want to offer support for those who have been victimized by giving information on what to do if they have been victimized.
