OPP investigating dog being shot in Clearview Township

Police received a complaint that a dog was shot around Bear Alley and believe there was a witness neaby that they would like to speak with

Members of the Huronia West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are currently investigating an incident involving a firearm being discharged within the Simcoe County Forest of Clearview Township.

On April 3, 2022, a complaint was made to the Huronia West OPP regarding a dog being shot. On April, 2, 2022 at approximately 3:30 p.m. the complainant was walking his dog around "Bear Alley" near Centre Line Road within Clearview Township. The dog's injuries appeared to be consistent with a shotgun blast.

Police believe there was a witness nearby and would like to speak with that person or any other persons who may have witnessed the incident.
