Public Health Ontario reported 422 new COVID cases today.
The latest updates noted 275 recoveries and three deaths.
The Nov. 1 updates provided by the province's public health agency and the ministry of health also reported the following data:
- 3,159 active, lab-confirmed cases, up from 3,015 yesterday.
- 134 people are hospitalized with COVID-19, however about 10 per cent of Ontario hospitals don't report their bed census on weekends.
- There are 108 COVID-positive patients in the ICU plus another 25 patients no longer testing positive for COVID-19.
- There are 68 COVID-positive patients on ventilators and another 16 patients on ventilators no longer testing positive for COVID.
- 11,022,859 Ontarians (about 74 per cent of the total population) have been fully vaccinated. 88 per cent of eligible Ontarians have at least one dose of vaccine.
- Among the new cases reported today are 225 unvaccinated, 13 partially vaccinated, and 161 fully vaccinated cases. There are 23 cases reported with vaccination status unknown.
- The province does not update vaccine status for hospitalized cases on Sunday or Monday.
- The seven-day average incidence rate by vaccination status is 5.7 cases per 100,000 unvaccinated people, 2.5 cases per 100,000 partially vaccinated people, and 1.1 cases per 100,000 fully vaccinated people.
- The province reported 19,840 tests were processed yesterday, resulting in a 1.8 per cent positivity rate.
- Of the new cases reported today, 61 are from Toronto, 47 are from Peel, 25 are from Simcoe-Muskoka, and 41 are from York Region.
- Today's new cases include 92 individuals under 12 years old, 41 youth between 12 and 19 years old, 139 people between 20 and 39 years old, 88 people between 40 and 59 years old, 55 people between 60 and 79 years old, and six people over 79 years old.
Public Health Ontario has confirmed 600,377 cases of COVID-19 since the start of the pandemic, and reported 587,344 recoveries and 9,874 deaths.
Since the start of the pandemic, 30,578 people have been hospitalized with COVID and 5,993 of them were in intensive care units.
The cumulative average incidence rate in the province is 4,074.8 cases per 100,000 people in Ontario.
Ontario's average weekly incidence rate last week was 16.7 cases per 100,000 people, which is down by 8.2 per cent compared to the week of Oct. 16.

Simcoe-Muskoka
Yesterday, the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit reported 24 new COVID cases.
There are currently 174 active cases in the region.
Nine people from Simcoe County are hospitalized with COVID-19.
Since the start of the pandemic, the local health unit has confirmed 13,994 cases of COVID-19 with 13,556 of those cases recovered and 264 cases ending in death.
The region's weekly incidence rate is 19.9 cases per 100,000 for the week beginning Oct. 22, which is up by 2.6 per cent compared to the week beginning Oct. 16.
