Public Health Ontario reported 378 new COVID cases today.
The latest updates noted 380 recoveries and five new deaths.
The Nov. 3 updates provided by the province's public health agency and the ministry of health also reported the following data:
- 3,093 active, lab-confirmed cases, down from 3,100 yesterday.
- 237 people are hospitalized with COVID-19.
- There are 114 COVID-positive patients in the ICU plus another 23 patients no longer testing positive for COVID-19.
- There are 66 COVID-positive patients on ventilators and another 13 patients on ventilators no longer testing positive for COVID.
- 11,042,298 Ontarians (about 74 per cent of the total population) have been fully vaccinated. 88 per cent of eligible Ontarians have at least one dose of vaccine.
- Included in the new cases today are 183 unvaccinated, 12 partially vaccinated, and 142 fully vaccinated people. 41 cases were reported with vaccination status unknown.
- Among the ICU cases are 60 unvaccinated, six partially vaccinated and 12 fully vaccinated people.
- Those hospitalized with COVID (but not in the ICU) include 81 unvaccinated, 13 partially vaccinated, and 63 fully vaccinated people.
- The seven-day average incidence rate by vaccination status is 5.9 cases per 100,000 unvaccinated people, 2.6 cases per 100,000 partially vaccinated people, and 1.3 cases per 100,000 fully vaccinated people.
- The province reported 32,950 tests were processed yesterday, resulting in a 1.4 per cent positivity rate.
- Of the new cases reported today, 64 are from Toronto, 13 are from Peel, 26 are from Simcoe-Muskoka, and 41 are from York Region.
- Today's new cases include 64 individuals under 12 years old, 31 youth between 12 and 19 years old, 120 people between 20 and 39 years old, 104 people between 40 and 59 years old, 50 people between 60 and 79 years old, and 10 people over 79 years old.
Public Health Ontario has confirmed 601,086 cases of COVID-19 since the start of the pandemic, and reported 588,107 recoveries and 9,886 deaths.
Since the start of the pandemic, 30,640 people have been hospitalized with COVID and 6,002 of them were in intensive care units.
The cumulative average incidence rate in the province is 4,079.6 cases per 100,000 people in Ontario.
Ontario's average weekly incidence rate last week was 17 cases per 100,000 people, which is up by 0.6 per cent compared to the week of Oct. 18.

Simcoe-Muskoka
Yesterday, the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit reported 24 new COVID cases and one death.
There are currently 185 active cases in the region.
Seventeen people from Simcoe County are hospitalized with COVID-19.
Since the start of the pandemic, the local health unit has confirmed 14,082 cases of COVID-19 with 13,630 of those cases recovered and 267 cases ending in death.
The region's weekly incidence rate is 20.8 cases per 100,000 for the week beginning Oct. 24, which is up by 11.2 per cent compared to the week beginning Oct. 18.
