The Downtown Barrie BIA wants to thank those who supported our partner Hospice Simcoe at the Noella Festival Tree + Wreath Lot this past holiday season.

On Friday, Jan. 21, together with tree lot sponsors Dr. Brad Dibble and Katherine Elphick, the Downtown Barrie BIA presented Hospice Simcoe with $2,300.

Hospice Simcoe serves our community in remarkable ways: “Hospice palliative care is aimed at relieving suffering and improving the quality of life for persons who are living with, or dying from, advanced illness or are bereaved. This care includes pain and symptom management in conjunction with social, psychological, spiritual and practical support.”

"Thank you to the Downtown Barrie BIA and Dr. Brad Dibble for always including Hospice Simcoe in the Noella Festival Tree + Wreath Lot," remarked Marilyn Guest, fund development manager for Hospice Simcoe. "We always have so much fun interacting with the community during the event and every dollar raised helps Hospice Simcoe build a strong community."

This past holiday season, the Downtown Barrie BIA’s well-known message of supporting local extended beyond the business community to include Hospice Simcoe; supporting those who support us.

Upcoming events in Downtown Barrie include the Hot Cocoa Trail and two Open Air Dunlop pop-ups with the City of Barrie’s Hello Winter festival.
