New recruits join South Simcoe Police Service

South Simcoe Police Services welcomed some new faces this week, as four rookie officers were sworn in at a ceremony on Monday night.

Constables Tiago Capeloa, Kyla Thurston and Ranjit Sandhu are replacing officers who have recently retired.

All three have started their training four-month training with a Coach Officer.

Constable Sandhu is South Simcoe's first Sikh police officer. He attended the Citizens Police Academy in 2013 and joined the Auxiliary Unit in 2014.
