A new pediatrician joined the medical team at Stevenson Memorial Hospital in Alliston this week.

Dr. Padma Gadde earned a medical degree from the University of Health Sciences in Vijayawada, India, specializing in pediatrics. She also has bachelor degrees in medicine and surgery and a masters in public health from Rutgers School of Public Health in New Jersey.

"I'm excited to join the team at Stevenson Memorial Hospital," said Dr. Gadde. "I look forward to working with the Pediatrics staff to provide quality children's healthcare to the children of our community."

Gadde completed her specialty training at Lincoln Medical and Mental Health Center in New York, and received additional research fellowship training in bone mineral from Winthrop University Hospital in Mineola, New York.

She recently relocated to Canada from the US with her husband and son.

Stevenson's president and CEO Jody Levac says he’s pleased to welcome her to the hospital

“We remain committed to the recruitment of highly-skilled physicians to further our mission of delivering quality, patient-centered healthcare to the communities we serve,” Levac said.
