Today, Sodexo Live!, the leading hospitality partner to the world’s most iconic venues, announced a new, multi-year agreement to provide best-in-class hospitality services to Mount St. Louis Moonstone — one of the largest family-owned ski resorts in Ontario.

This means revitalized menus for guests and expanded catering capabilities, offering warm and comforting dishes, tastes of the region and a range of options.

“As we look to double down on the visitor experience, it’s important to create a more memorable dining destination for our guests of all ages,” said general manager/owner Robert Huter. “And Sodexo Live!, through its regional expertise and inventive approach, will help us bring this vision to life.”

Nestled in Ontario’s snow belt, Mount St. Louis Moonstone — the premier ski destination in Ontario — is comprised of 36 different slopes and hosts hundreds of thousands of skiers and snowboarders per year. The new program will incorporate the latest hospitality trends and techniques, streamlining choices at each location while still providing exciting variety. Skiers will experience a whole new service standard when coming to enjoy the mountain, whether at the Chalet or anywhere else at the resort.

The planned enhancements include:

  • A new build-your-own pho and ramen station
  • The addition of Nathan’s Footlong and Regular Hot Dogs to the menu
  • Introducing traditional Austrian-Hungarian Debrazzini Sausages, served on pretzel buns
  • Expanding cashless points of sale, ensuring speed of payment to get guests back on the mountain quicker
  • Building out grab-and-go areas for comfort foods and beverages

“We are thrilled to kick off this new partnership and look forward to reducing lines and improving speed of service so skiers can replenish and get back to hitting the slopes,” said Greg Fender, executive vice-president, Sodexo Live! “Just like Mount St. Louis Moonstone, Sodexo Live! is a family-owned business and we’re committed to investing in a next-level dining experience, and tapping local employees and local suppliers, for everyone to enjoy.”

The Sodexo Live! presence in Ontario is substantial, with over 3,000 employees in the surrounding region to source from, ensuring the dining operations are adequately staffed with the most well-trained team members.

Sodexo Live! also maintains a significant, long-term presence in the ski industry, serving as the hospitality partner of choice at 15 resorts throughout the region, including Holiday Valley, Smugglers’ Notch, Jiminy Peak, Gore Mountain, Whiteface and Bristol Mountain. It is also the hospitality partner to renowned Canadian sports venues like Tim Hortons Field in Hamilton, Winnipeg’s Canada Life Centre and BC Place in Vancouver, among others.
