Need a feline furry friend?

Cat adoption blitz is on at Barrie shelter

The Furry Friends Animal Shelter is putting out the call for cat adoptions.

The shelter located on Hart Drive recently received 51 felines and dozens more are expected to arrive this week.

With cages full, founder and president Marie Aldred says if you want a lovely pet then the shelter is the place to be.

Furry Friends is holding an adopt-a-thon from Feb. 29 to March 13 at the PetSmart on Mapleview.

The cats are fixed, micro-chipped and have their shots.

Adoption fee is $170.
