Mary Street north of Dunlop Street West is closed due to water line repairs.
"This house has a leaking service that blew out onto the road and because it's an industrial commercial property they had to hire contractors to fix it. They're renewing the old galvanized service with two copper services for both these places," said Steve Ball, water distribution operator for the City of Barrie.
City crews are on hand to monitor the situation.
The street will be reopened later today.
