Barrie Police were called to a south Barrie business after a male was reported inside the store causing a disturbance regarding an item he wished to return.
The male received a pair of mittens from a concerned citizen as he was allegedly out in the cold panhandling at a neighbouring business.
Upon receiving the gracious gift, the male walked into the store where the mittens were purchased for him and attempted to return the product for a full cash refund.
The store was unable to process the return for various store procedural reasons and the male began to cause a scene. Upon realizing the police had been called and he was not going to receive his refund, the male left on foot with the mittens in hand.
The male was advised he was not wanted in the store further if his behaviour was disruptive to other customers.
