Man sustains serious stab wound in violent altercation

Aggravated Assault

On Friday January 01, 2016 at approximately 12:30 a.m. South Simcoe Police received a call for a violent fight on Holland Street West in the Town of Bradford.

Officers located the male victim who was suffering from a stab wound to the body.

The suspect was identified and located a short distance away where he was arrested.

The victim was transported to the hospital by paramedics and was treated for serious non-life threatening injuries.

The 35-year-old Bradford resident was charged with Aggrivated Assault and Assault with a Weapon, and held for a bail hearing.

Domestic Assault

On Friday January 01, 2016 at approximately 01:21 a.m. South Simcoe Police received a call for a assault in progress.

Officers arrived as the suspect was attempting to flee the scene.

The investigation into the matter resulted in the 30-year-old male of Bradford being charged with Domestic related Assault and Mischief under $5000.
