HGTV personality and host of Love It Or List David Visentin has added his star power to fire safety in Barrie.
Visentin, a Barrie resident, is the second high profile name to participate in a new Barrie Fire prevention campaign.
Visentin is about to film the eighth season of his smash real estate show with top designer Hilary Farr on W Network and HGTV (U.S.).
But he has also been selling real estate in Simcoe County for several decades at his family business Country Living Realty.
"Look who we found in Barrie today," tweeted the fire department, who said Visentin helped film two new fire safety videos.
"It's really beneficial to us in the fire service when a celebrity comes forward and talks about fire safety because so many people listen to them. It's a new way of reaching our community with an old message," said Barrie Fire Public Information Officer Samantha Hoffmann.
Hoffmann says one video will be released during Fire Prevention Week and the second, which deals more specifically with Visentin's connections to real estate, will be released after that.
The star of hit show Income Property, Scott McGillivray, who was recently in Barrie working on a new production, also participated in the fire prevention campaign.
