The city says some work initially expected to impact drivers on Monday will need to be extended for a day, carrying over to Tuesday.
Morris Shelswell Excavating and Grading, along with its subcontractors, will require lane closures/restrictions/shifts on Bayfield Street between Worsley Street and Wellington Street on both Monday, April 15 until around 7 p.m., and Tuesday, April 16 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., subject to weather conditions, according to a Cfity of Barrie news release.
The city says the lane restrictions are necessary to install new underground water infrastructure to supply the upcoming development at 115 Bayfield St.
"Due to unexpected circumstances and conflicts with existing underground infrastructure, the lane impacts will remain in effect overnight and throughout the day of Tuesday, April 16," the release stated.
