INNISFIL - A 28-year-old Innisfil woman has been charged with assault with a weapon and possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose following a domestic incident in Innisfil.
On Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2018 at 7:10 p.m., police responded to a 911 call where a woman on scene told police she had been assaulted by her spouse.
Through investigation, officers determined that the spouse had been assaulted with a weapon.
The 27-year-old Innisfil man declined medical attention for a minor injury.
A woman was arrested, transported to North Division where she was charged and later released with a future court date. Police recovered a weapon at the scene.
We respond to all reports of domestic violence and will conduct a thorough investigation. Regardless of who you are, any form of domestic violence is unacceptable.
