Innisfil Seed Library sprouting into eighth season

Volunteers can drop in on Saturday to label and pack seeds into envelopes ready to be 'borrowed'

The Innisfil Seed Library is gearing up for its eighth season and it needs your help.

Members of the community are invited to a seed-packing party.

Held at the Innisfil IdeaLAB & Library, Cookstown Branch on Saturday, March 18 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., volunteers can drop in and label and pack seeds into envelopes ready to be "borrowed." No experience is needed.

The Innisfil Seed Library is a volunteer-run seed lending and gardening education program in partnership with the Innisfil ideaLAB & Library with locations at the Cookstown and Lakeshore branches.

During the growing season participants are invited to browse its selection of donated seeds, grow and enjoy them at home, and return some harvested seeds at the end of the season.
