Innisfil man faces numerous charges after assault report

INNISFIL - On Tuesday, June 28, 2016, South Simcoe Police were called to a Yonge Street residence in Innisfil for a report of a domestic disturbance.  

On police arrival, the male party involved in the disturbance had already fled the residence.  

The female victim provided police with information warranting charges of assault and assault with a weapon against the male.  

Police also became aware that the male party had recently been charged with similar offences and released with conditions including no contact with the victim and not to attend the victim's residence.

On Friday, July 1, 2016 shortly after 1 a.m., officers located the male party in an Innisfil area bar.  

The male party was arrested without incident and taken to the police station.  

A 27-year-old Innisfil man faces several charges including assault, assault with a weapon and several breach of undertaking charges.

He [was] held in custody pending a bail hearing on July 1, 2016
