Baycats blast Royals 

BARRIE – The Barrie Baycats' offence came to life in a 20-1 blowout win over the Guelph Royals Sunday night at Coates Stadium. 

Jeff Cowan led the 20-hit attack with five singles. He drove in one and scored twice. Kevin Atkinson and Ryan Rijo each went 2-for-5 with three RBI and three runs. Atkinson drilled his team-leading seventh longball of the season. 

Ryan Spataro singled four times and added two RBI, two runs and a stolen base. Starlin Rodriguez went 3-for-6 with two RBI and a run, Carson Burns singled twice and had three runs and an RBI, Branfy Infante added two doubles, three RBI and two runs, Glenn Jackson drove in two and scored once, and Parker Walker chipped in with a pinch-hit RBI in the Baycats' nine-run eighth. 

Matthew St. Kitts (1-1) picked up the win, allowing an unearned run on six hits over six innings. He walked three and struck out seven.

Justin Interisano drove in Guelph's only run with a sacrifice fly in the third inning. Ethan Mohan had two hits and a stolen base, and Brendan Keys singled twice. 
Yomar Concepcion (1-2) took the loss, giving up eight runs (seven earned) on eight hits over five innings. He walked one and struck out three. 

Barrie improved to 12-7, and Guelph dropped to 6-11. 

Red Sox-Majors postponed

LONDON – Sunday's scheduled game between the Brantford Red Sox and London Majors was postponed due to rain. No make-up date has been announced. 
Brantford is 6-9, and London is 10-6. 

Panthers-Leafs postponed

TORONTO – Sunday's scheduled game between the Kitchener Panthers and Toronto Maple Leafs was postponed due to rain. No make-up date has been announced. 
Kitchener is 12-5, and Toronto is 10-7.

Majors snap Baycats' win streak 

BARRIE – The London Majors snapped the Barrie Baycats' win streak at six after a 9-2 win at Coates Stadium Saturday afternoon. 
Jacen Nalesnik went 3-for-5 with three runs and an RBI to lead the Majors, who improved to 10-6. Keith Kandel singled, doubled and drove in a run while scoring once. RJ Fuhr singled three times and had an RBI and a run atop the London lineup, while Byron Reichstein, Cleveland Brownlee, Matt Hexter and Chris McQueen all drove in a run. 
On the mound, Starlin Peralta (3-1) went seven innings for the win. Peralta allowed two runs on nine hits with a walk and three strikeouts. 
For Barrie, Kyle DeGrace and Ryan Rijo each had an RBI. Starlin Rodriguez singled, doubled and scored once, and Jeff Cowan went 3-for-3. 
Emilis Guerrero (5-2) took the loss, giving up seven runs (five earned) on 11 hits over 6.2 innings. He struck out six without issuing a walk. 
Barrie dropped to 11-7.

Panthers-Royals postponed

GUELPH – Saturday's scheduled game between the Kitchener Panthers and Guelph Royals was postponed due to rain. No make-up date has been announced. 
Kitchener is 12-5, and Guelph is 6-10. 

Leafs-Herd postponed

BURLINGTON – Saturday's scheduled game between the Toronto Maple Leafs and Burlington Herd was postponed due to rain. No make-up date has been announced. 
Toronto is 10-7, and Burlington is 5-12.

Cardinals double Leafs 

WELLAND – The Hamilton Cardinals doubled the Toronto Maple Leafs 8-4 in seven innings Friday night at Welland Stadium. 
Grant Arnold led the Cards' offence with three RBI and a stolen base. Jon Dziomba had two hits and drove in two. He also stole his sixth base of the season. Chris Beer singled twice and scored twice. Jake Foden singled, scored and had an RBI. 

Krystien Johnson-Battilana (1-0) picked up the win, giving up four runs on seven hits over six innings. He walked two and struck out three. 
Tyler Wood earned his first save after pitching a scoreless seventh inning, yielding one hit with a walk and two strikeouts. 
For Toronto, Adam Odd singled twice and had an RBI and a run. Marcus Knecht, Justin Marra and Greg Carrington each had a hit and an RBI, while Dan Marra singled twice and scored once.

Marek Deska (1-2) took the loss, giving up seven runs (three earned) on seven hits in six innings. He struck out six without issuing a walk. 
Hamilton improved to 5-9, and Toronto dropped to 10-7.

Herd-Red Sox postponed

BRANTFORD – Friday night's scheduled game between the Burlington Herd and Brantford Red Sox was postponed due to rain. No make-up date has been announced. 

Burlington is 5-12, and Brantford is 5-9. 

Royals-Majors postponed 

LONDON – Friday night's scheduled game between the Guelph Royals and London Majors was postponed due to rain. No make-up date has been announced.
