Bidding wars, sold over asking and limited inventory are all part of Barrie's red hot real estate market.

Buyers and sellers are facing unprecedented market conditions with housing activity at record levels in July.

And the fall market is upon us.

"We are predicting a strong finish to the year," said Mark Faris, CEO and Broker at Royal LePage First Contact Realty The Faris Team, Brokerage. "Sellers will continue to be in the driver's seat and buyers need to stay sharp to get into the market, keep their emotions in check, and purchase wisely."

Enter Faris and a seminar his company is calling 'Inside Track'.

For the first time, The Faris Team is offering free tips for buyers and sellers to help navigate the market.

Faris himself will be conducting the seminar on Sept. 17 at the Barrie Country Club in Midhurst.

"Our ultimate goal is to provide value to help buyers and sellers become educated and confident," said Faris. "There are no obligations at all and attendees will not leave with keys to a new home. Instead they will have a pocket full of tools."

The Faris Team boasts sales of over 3,000 homes to date and is the number one team in Simcoe County out of all brokerages (since 2011 IMS Inc.) and the top team in Canada for Royal LePage out of nearly 20,000 realtors.

"The content will be facts and upcoming major projects happening in our local market, specific tips that will save thousands and will give buyers the edge when purchasing," said Faris. "In addition we will be giving inside information on how to get sellers the most amount of money for their home."

Faris says we are in a very strong sellers market with record profits being made and bidding wars are becoming a common occurrence.

"We recently sold a home in Barrie for $650,000 that was listed at $575,000 - 75k over list," Faris said. "Knowing how to handle multiple offer situations can be the difference of thousands of dollars."

There will be answers to many questions such as when is the right time to sell your home and what kinds of upgrades will help get top dollar.

The Faris Team offers these tips to clients every day one-on-one but everyone is invited to the Inside Track.

"Whether someone is an experienced buyer or seller, or it is their first time buying or selling, there will be something for everyone. I often go on seminars and if I get a few "gold nuggets," it is worth it."

Registration for The Faris Team Inside Track is free and includes a complimentary hot breakfast.

The seminar is at the Barrie Country Club from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Sat., Sept. 17
