House will be 'uninhabitable' after fire

Deputy Fire Chief Carrie Clark said there was significant damage to the home’s roof, its main level and rear portion

Barrie firefighters were called to 74 Patterson Road for a house fire Saturday afternoon. 

Deputy Fire Chief Carrie Clark said there was significant damage to the home’s roof, its main level and rear potion.

“It will be uninhabitable,” Clark said of the damage.

She said there are two living units within the home but there were no injuries.

The fire’s cause has not been determined.

Barrie Fire and Emergency Services personnel were called to the fire at 2:14 p.m. and remained on scene throughout the afternoon.
