'Grossly overcorrecting' driver charged with impaired

On the 24th of April 2016 at 11:15 p.m. a South Simcoe Police officer was on patrol on Commerce Park Drive in Innisfil.

At this time police observed the driver of a 1995 Cadillac grossly overcorrect as he rounded a bend in the road.

Police followed the vehicle to a local business where the driver came to a sudden stop.

Police spoke with the driver and detected an odour of alcohol.

The accused submitted to a roadside screening device.

The driver registered a "FAIL" and was arrested for over 80 mgs.

The driver was transported to the North Division for further investigation.

A 26-year-old male from Mulmur, Ontario has been charged with over 80mgs and impaired care/control.

The accused will appear in Bradford Court in early May.
