A frost advisory is in effect.

Mix of sun and clouds today with a high 14.

Here are the details of the frost advisory issued by Environment Canada:

Frost advisory in effect for:

  • Barrie - Collingwood - Hillsdale

Frost may damage frost-sensitive fruit trees and vegetable plants.

Patchy frost early this morning.

Temperatures have dipped to near the zero degree mark under partly cloudy skies early this morning in many areas.

Temperatures will rise quickly under the strong May sun later this morning, ending the threat of frost.

Take preventative measures to protect frost-sensitive plants and trees.

Frost advisories are issued when temperatures are expected to reach the freezing mark during the growing season, leading to potential damage and destruction to plants and crops.
