Special Weather Statement in effect.

Periods of snow, local blowing snow beginning this morning, amount 2 cm, wind gusting to 50 km/h and the high -5.

Temps swing back to the plus side tomorrow with snow changing to periods of rain late in the afternoon and the high plus 2.  About 10 cms of snow expected before the rain.

Special weather statement in effect for:

  • Barrie - Collingwood - Hillsdale
  • Midland - Coldwater - Orr Lake
  • Orillia - Lagoon City - Washago

Snow will affect portions of southern Ontario beginning early Tuesday morning.

Snowfall accumulations of 10 to 15 cm are expected by Tuesday evening.

The snow will likely change over to rain Tuesday evening as temperatures rise above the freezing mark.

The system responsible is a Colorado low that will affect much of the province.
