Rash of thefts from vehicles in Bradford prompts warning from police

We strongly urge you not to keep valuables in your vehicle in order to avoid being a target, say police

South Simcoe Police Service officers are releasing security camera images of a suspect following a theft from a vehicle in Bradford.

The theft occurred at approximately 2 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 1, 2018 in the driveway of a home in the 10th Sideroad and Line 6 area.

A suspect can be seen on security camera video gaining entry to the vehicle. Valuables that had been left in the vehicle overnight were stolen.

The suspect is described as a white male with a thin build. He is wearing a light coloured toque, mask, jacket, pants, gloves and shoes.

Anyone with who recognizes the suspect or has information regarding this incident is asked to call us at 905-775-3311, 705-436-21451 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477(TIPS). Tips can also be submitted online.

This incident is part of a rash of recent vehicle entries and break-ins, including three additional thefts from vehicles overnight. In some instances windows of vehicles were smashed to gain entry.
