A section of road in front of Johnson Street Public School in Barrie's east end will be closed today for infrastructure work.
Johnson Street will be closed from between Alexander Avenue and Adam Street on Monday, April 15 tentatively from 8:30 a.m. until 5 p.m., according to the city.
Yorkton Contracting its sub-contractors working for the city require the closure to repair existing underground sanitary infrastructure.
Times are subject to subject to weather conditions.
The roadway is open to local traffic, waste collection vehicles and emergency services vehicles, but closed to buses.
The detour route in effect: Johnson Street – Steel Street – Blake Street – Johnson Street.
